Worth Parish Council Community Emergency Plan
Published: 14 April 2026
Worth Parish Council has approved the latest version of its Community Emergency Plan.
The Emergency Plan is vital
because it helps the community prepare for and respond effectively to
unexpected situations such as severe weather, power outages or other local
emergencies. By outlining clear procedures and roles, the plan ensures that
residents know what to do and where to go when normal services are disrupted.
This reduces confusion and panic, allowing for quicker, more coordinated
action.
The plan also strengthens community resilience by encouraging neighbours to support one another, particularly vulnerable individuals who may need extra assistance. It enables local volunteers and council members to work together efficiently with emergency services, improving overall response times.
Furthermore, having a well-structured emergency plan provides reassurance to residents that their safety is a priority. It demonstrates proactive leadership from the Parish Council and fosters a sense of unity and preparedness, which is essential for maintaining wellbeing during challenging situations.
