A Special Award for Two Special People
Published: 13 May 2026
There were so many feel-good stories at our Annual Parish Awards recently, one of which resulted in Kay and Roger Webb receiving a lifetime achievement award for their wonderful voluntary work for the community in Crawley Down.
They have been helping around the village for many years. They helped to get the names on the village war memorial, and to arrange for blue plaques to be sited on several local houses. Roger has been the area rep for the British Legion, and Kay is still a highly valued member of the Crawley Down Working Party.
Our photo shows Kay being presented with their award by Council Chairman Tony Dorey and Vice-Chairman Phillip Coote.
