Copthorne Recreation Ground to Open Playground

Exciting news!  We are now putting the finishing touches in place and will soon be ready to open the gates to the new play area and car park at the Copthorne Recreation Ground on Copthorne Bank. 

The gates to the play area will be opened on Thursday 17th September 2026 at 3.30pm - so come along and join us then for our celebratory opening event!

The playground has been designed for children of all ages, so all are welcome to come along and enjoy it after it's been opened.

To ensure everyone's safety on the day of the event, the car park will remain closed until after 6pm that day. Once opened, there will be 14 parking spaces available, including 2 disabled parking bays. However, please note that terms and conditions apply to drivers using the car park, so please check out the notices on site before parking.

Whilst the play area and car park will be open from 17th September, work is continuing on the new Multi Use Games Area. This means the back of the site, including the Roffey Close and social club entrance, will remain closed for now.
