New PCSO's for Copthorne and Crawley Down

Published: 10 January 2023

PCSO Lizzy Whitmore
Hello I am PCSO Lizzy Whitmore. I started working for Sussex Police in June 2022. The areas that I will cover are Copthorne, Crawley Down and Turners Hill.

Before joining the Police, I worked as a teaching assistant in a primary school. In my spare time I volunteer for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award supporting young people to learn life skills and achieve their full potential. I am very keen to set up some beat surgeries in all three villages where the residents will get the opportunity to meet with their local officers, share literature with residents and to give crime prevention advice that is needed.

One issue that we are fully aware of is anti-social behaviour in some areas. We are aware of the hotspots and will continue to regularly patrol those areas to prevent and deter any anti-social behaviour and minor crime. I am looking forward to supporting the local community, meeting with residents, and working in partnership with local groups and Councils.

PCSO David Taylor
Hello I am PCSO David Taylor. I started working for Sussex Police in February 2022, after previously working with Surrey Police.

Since joining the Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Prevention Team in August 2022, I have been tasked with looking after Copthorne, Crawley Down and Turners Hill. I regularly take walking patrols through the villages as well as mobile patrols in one of our marked police cars and enjoy speaking with the residents. If you see me on patrol please stop and say, "hello."

How to report a crime to us:
As always, in an emergency please call 999. For non-emergencies please dial 101.
